I'm doing some little 8x10" paintings of Paris. They're quick and lighthearted, and a nice change of pace after the last big three complex New York ones.
A pale ground on a gesso panel, then just a framework of a drawing to guide the paint.

Manhattan From The Brooklyn Bridge
I just finished these three moderately large oil paintings of New York City.
Although they're each separate and not a triptych as such, they were conceived together.
Each of them is five by three feet square. They'll be at O'Connor Gallery in Gananoque, Ontario.

I'm going to be giving a talk about 'Life's Changes In Art', at O'Connor Gallery, Gananoque, on Sunday, September 22, 2024 at 1pm.
My talk will be about my experiences with art and working as an artist through the years - from what got me into it, through academic influences, into finally hitting my stride, then the changes and situations that have followed that. I'm looking forward to seeing you there!
